Introduction to the LOVE exhibition and selected theological readings that relate to the 7 Virtues and the 7 Sins
Dr. Livia Selmanowitz Straus is Emeritus Professor of Education and Jewish Religious Thought at The Academy for Jewish Religion and was Adjunct Associate Professor of Theology at Fordham University. From 1994-1997, Dr. Straus was Adjunct Professor of Education at Hebrew Union College. She earned her Doctorate at New York University in Judaic Studies with a concentration in Medieval Jewish History. She has participated in various inter-religious dialogues, including the Valparaiso Project. Dr. Straus has lectured widely on art and spirituality. Dr. Straus is also a co-founder of the HVCCA, its current Director, and the curator of the LOVE and LUST exhibits.
