The arts are for everyone, amplifying the multi-ethnic and culturally diverse voices within our community. The arts offer opportunities for advancement and personal growth. From the CEO: Artistic Rye Playland
When I was a kid growing up in the Rockaways, Playland was the place to go on a summer date. As I recall, it was about the only way a couple of teenagers could cuddle, even if it was only on a roller coaster.

What is the Arts Exchange?
Imagine a place where art and Commerce Intersect.
A bank filled with creative energy, a magnificent historic landmark tenderly restored as a counterpoint to newly build modern structures. A site where talented visual and performing artists create, rehearse, mingle and showcase their work. That was the dream of ArtsWestchester when we purchased and restored the old People’s National Bank, formerly a Chase bank, and recreated it as the Arts Exchange. It now hums with activity, but still belongs to the people, furthering our mission of making the arts available and accessible, offering something for everyone…a work of art all its own.
