About OCA Westchester & Hudson Valley Advocates

OCA was founded in 1973 and is one of the preeminent Asian Pacific Islander Americans (APIAs) advocacy leaders on key issues of concern to the over 16 million (APIAs). By working closely with its over 100 chapters and affiliates and in partnership with a diverse group of national advocacy organizations, it has been an effective voice in Washington, DC and across the nation on issues affecting APIAs. The OCA Westchester & Hudson Valley chapter was founded in 1980 and is one of the oldest and most active ethnic advocacy organizations in the County. It is an all-volunteer grassroots organization and encourages the active participation of APIAs in civic and community affairs. OCA-WHV sponsors many programs and activities in service to Asian Pacific Islander Americans as well as our community at large. OCA-WHV continues to develop new programs, particularly among the large and growing Asian immigrant population in the region. Our current focus is on strengthening our outreach program to Asian seniors and on providing scholarships to talented and promising youth facing hardship or need.
