Write, Write, Write!: A Fiction Workshop for Teens (via Zoom)

Do you love to write fiction? Would you like to generate new work week after week? Would it be helpful to get feedback from other teens who love and understand writing just as much as you?

In this five-week workshop, we’ll use prompts to create new stories, experiment with different forms, and discuss the writing process. You’ll receive positive feedback so you can take what your produce in class and confidently improve your creative writing outside of class — both for your own projects and in school. In our last workshop, writers will have the opportunity to bring an edited piece they began in class to receive additional comments.

This class series is also ideal for students who want or need a creative writing boost to kick off the school year as full-time, in-person learning resumes.

This workshop will be taught via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed at the time of registration. (Please check spam / promotions filters.) Please email admin@writerscenter.org with any questions.

Tina Tocco is a Pushcart Prize nominee for fiction. A writer for both adults and young readers, Tina has published short stories in many magazines and journals, including Highlights, Cricket, New Ohio Review, River Styx, Crab Creek Review, and Italian Americana. Her work has also been featured in The Best Small Fictions 2019, Best Nonfiction Food (2020), and other anthologies. Tina earned her MFA in creative writing from Manhattanville College, where she was editor-in-chief of Inkwell, the college’s national literary journal. She teaches for Grub Street (Massachusetts), Kids Short Story Connection (Greenburgh), Arts Escape (Connecticut), and other organizations.

The workshop will run on five Sundays between September 26 and October 24, from 1-3 pm EST. Registration is $175 at:
