Women of A Certain Age Comedy Show

Need a good laugh? Come to a night of comedy, music, wine and food benefiting the New Rochelle Council on the Arts! “Women of A Certain Age Comedy” is happening Thursday, March 22nd at 7 pm at Hand Crafted Services’ new tasting room, 15 Leroy Place, New Rochelle. The evening will feature comedians Sandy Ehlers, Kerri Louise, Carole Montgomery, with music by DJ Ryan Vandal.

“Women of a Certain Age Comedy” is described as “a show straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women that have seen it all. They’ve raised children both on and off the road, having club bouncers watch their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don’t want to use a blacklight on anything. They’ve been told women aren’t funny and asked to trade sexual favors for work. Trust us, they have A LOT to say and they say it hysterically.”

Tickets cost $20 in advance, $30 at the door, with a special price for NRCA Members: $15. A VIP Ticket is also available for $50 that includes special seating with a dedicated server, unlimited Sangria and your choice of bar snack. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.

About the Performers

DJ Ryan Vandal

Ryan is well established in both the music and entertainment industries. His talent has led to over 1,000+ performances at a wide range of events and venues, private, corporate, and televised.

Sandy Ehlers

Sandy Ehlers was born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey. A twelve-year comedy veteran, Sandy has performed stand-up at many of New York City’s major clubs, such as Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and The Comic Strip. Her comedy is eclectic, funny and eccentric. She’s a combination of Joy Behar, Roseanne Barr, and Joan Rivers all rolled up into one. Sandy’s comedy journey began with an appearance on ABC’s “The View” with Joy Behar in 2003. She has studied Improv at Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC. She was a student of Kendall Cornell’s female clown troop and performed for a Cirque de Soleil cast party in NYC at the Brazilian “Club Pacha” in NYC. Sandy has been a contestant in the Cape May Comedy Festival, in which she was a top ten finalist out of 100 comedians and the only female selected as a finalist. Sandy has also been a contestant of the Ladies of Laughter competition at the Gotham Comedy Club in July 2014.

Kerri Louise

Who can turn the world on with her smile? Mary Tyler Moore. But who can turn the world on with her hysterical stories, original humor, and boisterous characters? Kerri Louise. High-energy, commanding and versatile–but enough about her sex life– Kerri Louise can entertain any audience with her warmth and razor-edge wit. She just filmed the stand-up show “Gotham Live” on AXS-TV. Kerri was a regular correspondent on the “Oprah Winfrey Show”, which led her to be a guest on the very first episode of “The Dr. Oz Show”. NBC took Kerri all the way to the finals in the show “Last Comic Standing”. Her performance on that show prompted The Women’s Entertainment Network to make her the star of her own reality show called “TWO FUNNY”. Other guest appearances include… TV Guide’s “Stand-Up In Stilettos”, NBC’s “The Apprentice”, “The Montel Show”, Nickelodeon’s “Nick’s Moms Night Out”, Comedy Central, NBC’s “Access Hollywood”, ABC’s “The View” and many more. Part Generation-X, part Girl-Next-Door, Kerri Louise is a pleasure to watch.

Carole Montgomery

With over two dozen television credits to her name, Carole Montgomery is a respected veteran of the standup comedy scene nationwide.  In addition to her numerous television appearances, Carole has headlined clubs and colleges across the USA and starred in two different Las Vegas production shows. In her 10 years as a Las Vegas star, it is estimated that she was seen by over 5 million audience members. Besides being a comedian and writer, Carole is a wife and mother. She’s been married for over 30 years and has a 26-year-old son, Layne. She was Vice-President of her son’s school PTA and helped coach his Little League team for 7 years. She is now dealing with an adult son still at home, her Peter Pan husband and living with her mother-in-law. The jokes write themselves. Though her onstage persona and offstage home life would seem to be on opposite sides of the spectrum, she juggles both with ease.
