The basic Biblical parameters for the sukkah leave plenty of room for interpretation—which inspired best-selling author Joshua Foer (Moonwalking With Einstein) to challenge contemporary architects and designers to come up with a 21st-century vision for the temporary Sukkot hut. This charming documentary traces the competition from the jury process to the construction and exhibition of the 12 winning structures in New York City’s Union Square.
