NEU Vitality Arts Workshop for Adults 55+ (Summer 2024 Intensives)

Are you (or someone you know) over the age of 55 and looking for a creative outlet this summer? If yes, head to the Neuberger Museum of Art for two exciting hands-on NEU Vitality Art Workshops diving into the worlds of Collage + Mixed Media and Sculptural Assemblage.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, each of these eight-session workshops will offer fun, inspiring, and supportive environments to develop your artistic skills and express your creative vision as you transform upcycled materials including paper, cardboard, product packaging, household items, wire, foil, and fabric into captivating artistic collaged compositions and 3D sculptures.

Guided instruction, hands-on practice, and plenty of artistic freedom will be front and center during every session!

Select one workshop series or register for both: morning and afternoon sessions will be held each week on Tuesday and Thursday from mid-June to mid-July. The workshops culminate with an art showcase in the Neuberger Museum of Art’s Open Classroom gallery.

The registration fee of $350 per workshop includes all course materials for the eight-session series;  no refunds for missed sessions.

The NEU Vitality Arts program, generously funded by E.A. Michelson Philanthropy, provides adults 55+ a community-based outlet that fosters social connections, ignites passions for creating among peers, facilitates friendships, and builds a supportive art-minded community. Each of the workshops planned through the end of 2024 will be focused on a different art discipline.
