The Art of Landscape Photography

Monday, February 22, 2016
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

‘You have some eye!’ Hopefully you hear that phrase frequently.  I’ve been fortunate in that I’ve heard that comment at times reqarding my work.  Let’s start by saying that I wish that I had some extraordinary innate talent in landscape photography – the truth is that I do not! So how is it that my work has received merit scores in pro level competition including Court of Honor Award at last January’s Photo-Northeast?

The short answer is that I am willing to work very hard at my craft. Willing to be uncomfortable and willing to persevere. But there’s much more.. most of that much more has to do with:

  1. Developing the ability to see (not just look dammit), and
  2. Learning about and appreciating light.

So that’s what we will discuss – by the way, although I will be thoroughly prepared with a Powerpoint presentation including some of my work to demonstrate what we’re covering  – I want Questions because we will all learn . So please do some homework, come prepared and make our time worthwhile.
