Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story – May 11, 8pm

Filmmakers Jen Rustemeyer and Grant Baldwin challenged themselves to eat only discarded food for six months while exploring the world of food waste and food rescue in this witty and surprising documentary.

Leslie Lampert, food waste reduction guru and creator of the Scrappy Chef Series and Ladle of Love proprietor, will join Martha Elder, a food rescue advocate and Executive Director at Second Chance Foods, for a lively discussion looking at the many opportunities we have to reduce food waste in our community. Both Ms. Lampert and Ms. Elder have creative ideas for reducing food waste at home and in the community and are a source of inspiration. Their insights will open our eyes to the waste that is happening in our kitchens, grocery stores, and restaurants, and provide us with recipes to make and actions to take that will reduce waste, lower greenhouse gas emissions and help those in need.
