Historic Quaker Graveyard Tour
Gray Williams, Town Historian and noted author, brings to ‘life’ the history of the Quaker community in New Castle. Adjacent to the graveyard is the original Friends Meeting House, c.1763, which served as a temporary ‘hospital’ for some of Washington’s soldiers who were wounded in the Battle of White Plains in October 1776.
Be sure to wear your walking shoes!
