World Premier of The Hunt for Lot

World Premiere of the theater play “LA CAZA DE LOT” (The Hunt for Lot) by Cuban playwright Jose Jesús Rodríguez Acea, directed by Josean Ortiz. Performed in Spanish with English titles, the production will have two (2) performances open to the public at Yonkers Arts on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 8 pm & Saturday, November 23 at 4 pm. The play shows stories of women from diverse backgrounds, each grappling with different forms of violence in their lives. From the harrowing experience of domestic abuse to insidious ways in which societal norms perpetuate violence, the play explores the profound impact of violence on individual lives and communities. Through moments of resilience, solidarity, and hope, the characters navigate their journeys toward healing and empowerment.

Estreno mundial de la obra teatral “LA CAZA DE LOT” del dramaturgo cubano José Jesús Rodríguez Acea, dirigida por Josean Ortiz. Presentada en español con títulos en inglés, la producción tendrá dos (2) funciones abiertas al público en Yonkers Arts el viernes 22 de noviembre de 2024 a las 8pm y el sábado 23 de noviembre de 2024 a las 4pm. La obra muestra historias de mujeres de diversos orígenes, cada una lidiando con diferentes formas de violencia en sus vidas. Desde la desgarradora experiencia del abuso doméstico hasta las formas insidiosas en que las normas sociales perpetúan la violencia, la obra explora el profundo impacto de la violencia en las vidas individuales y las comunidades. A través de momentos de resiliencia, solidaridad y esperanza, los personajes navegan en sus viajes hacia la sanación y el empoderamiento.
