White Plains Public Library Presents: The Artists’ Loft

The Artists’ Loft is a series of creative, inter-sectional, live events in the White Plains Public Library’s newly renovated cafe space. Modeled after musician and educator Art Bennett’s experience in the 1970s Loft Jazz scene in NYC, each session will be led by Bennett and a guest. While Bennett and musicians work out tunes in the performance space, in the attached multipurpose room an embodied storytelling workshop will be led by Alec Lichtenberg. The first hour is given over to learning and preparing materials in these separate groups. The second hour will be for performance, improvisation, and cross-form collaboration. The Artists’ Loft is a place for artists of all mediums to come together in downtown White Plains.

The Artists’ Loft dates:

May 9 & 23 (Art Bennett and Alec Lichtenberg)

June 13 & 27 (Art Bennett & Lana Yu)
