Westchester Symphonic Winds Fall Concert

Our 35th season opener features world and New York premieres and special music for saxophone, on the 208th birthday of the instrument’s inventor, Adolphe Sax!

This exciting concert features Dr. Christopher Creviston, saxophone, playing Waignein’s lush Rhapsody and the world premiere of Michael Markowski’s Desert Sage, commissioned by the Westchester Symphonic Winds, through a generous donation from the Tartell Family Foundation. We will further celebrate Sax’s birthday with a special saxophone ensemble assembled just for this program, which will perform Dusk by Steven Bryant, arranged by José Oliver Riojas and Mouse Mashup (celebrating the Mickey Mouse March and Three Blind Mice) arranged by Barton Green.  The program also includes the New York premieres of Catapult and Be Ever the Hope by Jay Kennedy and a special patriotic introduction to the Star Spangled Banner, arranged by Barton Green, in honor of Veterans Day.

Please join us for this outstanding program to celebrate our 35th season!
