Steffi Nossen Free Week of Dance Open House

The Steffi Nossen School of Dance- with classes in White Plains and at Chappaqua’s Church of Saint Mary the Virgin – invites you to its Free Week of Dance.  All classes will have an open door – members of the community are invited to try a new technique or get reacquainted with an old favorite.

Try our new Kids Musical Theater class; grade K – 2 students will learn the basics o fmusical theater  movement and dance.

The Steffi Nossen School of Dance has a class for every age, ability and interest. Founded as a Modern Dance school in 1937 by dance pioneer Steffi Nossen, the Steffi Nossen School of Dance (SNSD) offers the highest quality of developmentally appropriate dance instruction and performance opportunities for all ages and abilities. From toddlers through pre-professionals, students have the opportunity to learn a wide range of dance forms including Creative Movement, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop,  Moving Wheels  – an adaptive class, and Parksinson’s Dance.  The diverse offerings of classes and techniques reflects our philosophy that dance is universal and a unique form of education that develops the body, mind, spirit and character. Our engaging conservatory style classes challenge each student to strive for personal excellence in a supportive, inclusive, non-competitive environment. Our educationally sound, sequential curriculum fosters technical growth and exploration through dance. Our esteemed faculty fosters the joy of dance along with its inherent discipline, training professionals and recreational dancers alike with equal encouragement and enthusiasm.
