Square Times – Art Exhibit

Square Times

Join me for an exhibit of my work at the Lord and Andra Gallery. The reception is on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. One night only. The gallery is located at 10 Division St. in New Rochelle, NY, easily accessible by car or Metro North.

This exhibit will feature mixed media pieces, digital photography and large scale paintings. The theme is the ‘square’, one of the most celebrated shapes in modern art. We hope to see you.

Square Times

Designer and artist Jesse Sanchez is a graduate of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science

and Art.

“ My goal is to create an art of deep feeling and empathy for the world. I hope that engaged viewers will

value my efforts and appreciate my work for its import and invention. I believe my art holds diverse

elements together, creating a common ground where love, life, and art are purposed in the search for

truth in visual forms.”

This exhibit, Square Times, will feature mixed media pieces, digital photography and large scale acrylic

paintings. The theme is the ‘square’, one of the most celebrated shapes in modern art.

As well as being an accomplished fine artist, Jesse specializes in book cover design, type design,

digital and print promotional materials, fine art posters, and photoshop illustrations. Jesse has done

consulting work for many well-known organizations including the International Monetary Fund, Fuji Film

Corporation, Grand Central Publishing, Simon & Schuster, Penguin Random House, Kensington Books,

and St. Martin’s Press. He was formerly the art director at M.E. Sharpe Publishers in Armonk, NY.

Jesse often shows his artwork in Chelsea and other venues in New York and Westchester. He was

president of the New Rochelle Art Association from 2006 to 2015. In 2014 he joined the Municipal Arts

Commission of the City of New Rochelle as a creative consultant on the application of commercial

signage. Through the commission he has initiated several public art projects in the downtown New

Rochelle area, most recently ‘Stacked’. He organized other public art projects including the window

mural at Dollar Tree and the colorful mural on Beechwood Ave.

He works tirelessly because he believes that art represents the best of ourselves.

and constant support.
