RUBBERBAND “Gravity of Center”

The stunning short film Gravity of Center is an adaptation of the eponymous stage work created by choreographer Victor Quijada. Five world-class dancers embody animal instinct and human dignity in this stunning film, as characters that encounter each other in the wake of a natural and economic disaster. Wandering through unnamed landscapes, they depend on each other for their survival but also feel stifled by their reliance on the group.

In addition to the screening of Gravity of Center, you’ll see clips of other groundbreaking RUBBERBAND performances and have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A with Victor Quijada, Artistic Director and founder of RUBBERBAND, moderated by Nelly Van Bommel, Director, Conservatory of Dance, Purchase College SUNY.

There is no cost to attend the watch party, but an RSVP is required.
