Margo Jefferson Craft of Creative Nonfiction—Hybrid Forms: Criticism and Memoir
In this talk, Pulitzer Prize-winning arts critic, Margo Jefferson will discuss ways in which a writer can join the strategies and demands of critical prose to the intimate experiments of memoir.
Margo Jefferson has written two books: On Michael Jackson (2005) and Negroland: A Memoir (2015). Negroland received the National Book Critics Circle Award for autobigraphy, the Heartland Prize, and the Bridge International Prize. It was also shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize.
