JAKE’S WOMEN by Neil Simon
JAKE’S WOMEN by Neil Simon
Directed by Richard Troiano
Jake (Larry Schneider) is a writer, a writer with a problem. His fictional characters and the dialogue he creates for them are so real, they become real. Jake and his wife Maggie (Tori LaLonde) have enjoyed eight good years together. But now their marriage is in trouble. Jake seeks solace, within his imagination, from his very wise (and wonderfully droll) sister, Karen (Janis Chapin), and his off-the-wall analyst, Edith (Carol Eagan). While nursing his hurt, Jake mentally travels back in time to his first marriage, to his beloved Julie (Heather Campbell), who died in a car crash at age 35. Jake and Julie had a daughter, Molly (Ariana Morales), to whom Jake is devoted. Jake’s girlfriend, Sheila (Jacqueline Anne Smith) becomes a first hand witness to the unraveling of Jake.
