JACK Quartet

“The string quartet may be a 250-year-old contraption,” noted The Washington Post, “but young, brilliant groups like the JACK Quartet are keeping it thrillingly vital.” Founded at the Eastman School of Music and drawing on the letters of their first names (John, Ari, Chris, and Kevin), JACK focuses almost solely on new and recent works. Of course they’re acclaimed for their astounding technique and fearless performances. They wouldn’t be on our schedule otherwise. But JACK adds a fresh element to chamber music…these guys are just plain fun.
