Film Premiere | Floodwaters Workshop

Join us as we celebrate the Floodwaters Workshops with a screening of the 23-minute film documenting this journey, with readings by youth poets and a reception to follow.

In June 2022 Poet Laureate BK Fischer began the yearlong program, The Floodwater Workshops designed to bring poetry into the local conversation about climate and encourage residents to participate in the art form. 21 workshops were conducted at locations in diverse communities around the county including public school districts, independent schools and community sites. These events brought together over 400 students of all ages!
