Film and Discussion: Zaida

New Rochelle Public Library commemorates Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) with the screening of the documentary Zaida, followed by a  Q & A with the film’s producer/director.

Henri Parens escaped from the Holocaust at the age of 12, and went on to become a globally recognized psychoanalyst, dedicating his life’s work to the prevention of prejudice. 

Zaida is the documentary film about his life, made by his granddaughter Sophie Parens. The award-winning documentary short has reached audiences across the country, screening at film festivals, schools, museums and community centers nationwide.
