Fete de la Musique

In France, we celebrate the summer solstice “en musique”! Created in the 1980’s, La Fête de la Musique celebrates music every year on 21st June. This festival has since spread to hundreds of cities around the world. Every kind of musician—young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical genres—takes to the street, parks, plazas and porches to share his or her music with friends, neighbors and even strangers.
