Biagio “Gino” Civale at Purchase College PC4 Center for Community and Culture
Biagio “Gino” Civale’s, one-man-show, will feature a selection of woodcuts and linocuts for the section of xylography, a few serigraphs for the section of silkscreening, and a number of assemblages and collages, incliding samples of drawing techiquest, temperas and watercolors. Particularly interesting will be very large abstract works realized either on canvas or paper. Other works of figurative nature and style will also be shown, as well as etchings and intaglios.
Mr. Civale will be present and available for a walk through the displays and a conversation about art in general and particular art techniques he will show.
About the Artist:
Civale, while born in Italy and having lived in North Africa, France and Spain, is a resident of Yonkers since 1976; he has dedicated sixty-seven years of his life to create different styles artworks. He has shown in over seventy one-man exhibitions, globally, and has participated in 200 juried and non-juried group shows, selling many works and being recognized with artworks present in a variety of art museums, as well as public and private collections.
