Author Talk: Sophie’s Special Story with Gabriella Gizzo

IMPORTANT: Only children require a ticket for this event. Accompanying parents/guardians will be admitted free of charge without a ticket.

For ages Pre-School through 3rd Grade. Author and speech therapist Gabriella Gizzo reads her book Sophie’s Special Story, about the special bond between an owner and her dog, Sophie.

This unique story line expresses Sophie’s adventures as she journeys through life with Gabriella. Sophie’s Special Story also has opportunities to target language goals such as answering WH questions, labeling common objects, increasing vocabulary through descriptions, expanding syntax, describing emotions/feelings, and sequencing and story retell.

Gabriella will read the story to the children, followed by a book-signing and a special craft for everyone to take home. Sophie’s Special Story is an entertaining and diverse book that can be enjoyed by teachers, parents, specialists, and children alike! Space is limited.
