Two photographers will be exhibiting in the gallery from October 17th through November 4th. Ruth Raskin will be exhibiting her silver gelatin prints in, Pastiche: Belgium and Rita Baunok will be exhibiting her black and white photography printed as transfer on aluminum in, La Esperanza.
Ruth Raskin is a fine art photographer who specializes in black-and-white film-based photography. She studied at the International Center of Photography and the Center for the Arts at Westchester Community College. Raskin has exhibited at several galleries in the New York metropolitan area. Among her awards was “First Place in Photography” at the 2011 Armonk Outdoor Art show. She is a member of The Mamaroneck Artists Guild, Soho Photo Gallery in New York City, The Ground Glass, Red Circle PhotoArts, The Greenwich Art Society and The New Rochelle Art Association.
Rita Baunok is a Hungarian-born American photographer based in South Salem, New York. Baunok who holds an MFA in Photography (University of Hartford) has been working on long term projects in the last fifteen years. Much of this time was focused on series of visual documentation of stories, relationships and ideas about people and places. Baunok’s work is mainly black and white, printed as gelatin-silver, platinum and transfer on aluminum.
