A Musical Journey With a Stop in Yonkers!

Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra takes audience members on a thrilling journey from the ancient world to the present day in a program highlighting the vibrant colors and excitement of orchestral music. Experience the passion of 19th Century opera with Rossini’s Overture to Semiramide and Saint-Saens’ Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah and explore the varied (and sometimes humorous!) sounds of orchestral instruments in Russell Peck’s The Thrill of the Orchestra. We celebrate the lasting influence of composers native to Yonkers with Jerome Kern’s The Way You Look Tonight and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and W.C. Handy’s St. Louis Blues.

Join us for this exhilarating program with music for the whole family to enjoy!
