CONCORDIA CONSERVATORY ANNOUNCES ITS 24th ANNUAL HOLIDAY MUSICAL  A CHRISTMAS CAROL” 

Concordia Conservatory announces its 24th annual holiday community musical, “A Christmas Carol” on December 2 at 3 & 7 pm and December 3 at 3 pm at Bronxville School Auditorium, 177 Pondfield Road, Bronxville and December 9 at 3 pm at Concordia Conservatory Stamford/St. John’s Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Avenue, Stamford.

The cast hails from throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties and includes Zach Bostock, Helen Calero, Juliette Cebenoyan, Anyi Chen, Ila David, Ali DeFilippo, Maeve Donnelly,  Stella Donnelly, Nate Dower, Niara Dufane-Armand, Caris Erman-Thurmond, Ariana Gleason, Sean Keough, Kit Knapp, Blake Lander, Athena Lekovic, James Mabee, Chloe & Soren Mayer, Alexandra Mazzella, Kathleen Moriarty, Barbara Oliveira, Rory Pingel, Porter Rao, Layla Reilly, Jeffrey Rohr, Laura Sanchez, Aryana Sequeira, Alyssa Sequeira, Alexandra Seuffert, Katarina Seuffert, Grace Smyth, Lilly Slaughter, Jordan Smith, Kayla Tobin, Ben Tyree, Lila Wahl  and Katerina Walter.

The musical, “A Christmas Carol” by Jonathan Higgins with additional music by Jule Styne & Robert Merrick, is the retelling of the classic holiday tale in a one-act musical centered around Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable old man who mistreats everyone in his life.  Mr. Scrooge is transformed by the spirit of Christmas when three ghosts visit him on Christmas Eve, and learns the true meaning of the holiday. 

The production team includes Greg Suss (stage director), Cam Coffey (assistant stage director), Jon Klibonoff (music director), Jason Summer (choreographer), Katie Yacoub (assistant choreographer) and Eric Zoback (set designer).

Since 1999, the Conservatory’s annual tuition-free holiday musical has been a beloved community institution and an effective theatre arts outreach program, supported by generous donors who have given over $950,000. In its 24-year history, the musical has been seen by 18,000 enthusiastic audience members and performed by 1,600 performers. The Concordia Conservatory annual holiday community musical provides an opportunity for area youth to participate, without regard to family financial situation and disability.
