2012-2013 Artists in Residence concurrent solo exhibitions: Veneer and Falling to Rapture

Mike Stumbras and Kelsey Duncan joined the Clay Art Center community in September of 2012. As they worked and taught alongside one another this year, they each utilized every minute to build bodies of work for their exhibitions. Mike Stumbras combines traditional ceramics processes with contemporary imagery on his thrown and altered pottery in Veneer. Kelsey Duncan explores the ineffable aspects of human experience and relationships using his own symbolic language in Falling to Rapture.
