Fall Concert

St. Thomas Orchestra’s fall concert climaxes a day-long orchestra festival for White Plains High School students, who will improve their playing skills with well-known teaching artists. STO joins the students in the afternoon, then admits the public for the evening performance. The program includes The Moldau, Smetana’s passionate hymn to his Czech homeland; Songs to the Dark Virgin by Florence Price with soprano soloist Alison Tupay; Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Villa-Lobos with soloist Tupay and Symphony No. 8, Op. 88 by Dvořák.
