Open Studio: Susan MacMurdy

Visit artist Susan MacMurdy in the studio of the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center (DR Center), located on The Pocantico Center campus in Tarrytown, NY.

Susan is the DR Center’s visual artist-in-residence for September and October 2023, through a partnership with the Yonkers based Blue Door Art Center, awardees of the Pocantico Center’s 2023 Community Arts Residency.

Bronx resident Susan MacMurdy‘s mixed media collages reflect her contemplative deep-looking at the natural world, wherever it is found. Her work is focused on juxtapositions in urban life such as those that expand and enrich our sense of place, possibility and connection – to the earth and to one another.

Visitors will also be able to visit the DR Center gallery, currently showing Portraits of Process.

All visitors must reserve a free timed-entry ticket prior to visiting.
