NEU To Do for Kids: Create a STEAM-powered Pendulum Painting
In this week’s NEU To Do for Kids project, young artists will create a painting powered by Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) and inspired by the abstract artistry of Jackson Pollock.
Students will construct a pendulum, experiment with the scientific principles of inertia and motion, and see how gravity and paints combine to create geometric patterns (just like a Spirograph) on their artwork.
