Westchester Chamber Music Society presents the Alexander String Quartet

THE ALEXANDER QUARTET
Zakarias Grafilo, violin; Frederick Lifsitz, violin; Paul Yarbrough, viola; Sandy Wilson, cello

Having celebrated its 35th Anniversary, the ALEXANDER STRING QUARTET has performed in the major music capitals of five continents, securing its standing among the world’s premiere ensembles.  Their playing has been described as “uncompromising in power, intensity and spiritual depth.”

The Alexander is widely admired for its interpretations of classical works from the string quartet chamber music repertoire, and their recordings have won international acclaim. The Quartet has also established itself as an important advocate of new music through over 30 commissions from modern composers. Based in San Francisco, The Alexander String Quartet’s annual calendar of concerts has included engagements at major halls throughout North America and Europe, including appearances at Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.

Don’t miss their special performance for the Westchester Chamber Music Society on November 17th!
