“Watercolors without Boundaries” paintings by Brigitte Loritz
The Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Watercolors without Boundaries” paintings by Brigitte Loritz at the Harrison Public Library, Bruce Avenue May 4-30 with an opening reception May 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Brigitte was born and educated in Switzerland. In the U.S. she attended the Parsons School of Design, as well as studying with such prominent watercolorists as Ed Whitney, Jane Carlson, Arne Lindmark and Diane Faxon. Brigitte is Artist-in-Residence for the Port Chester Council for the Arts and teaches in the Port Chester Public Schools in their Arts in Education Program. She is former Art Director for the American Yacht Club Summer Camp and teaches art activities in several Westchester schools.
Brigitte’s award-winning watercolors have been exhibited here and abroad, and she is particularly well known in the community for her paintings of homes and historical sites.
The exhibit may be viewed Monday and Wednesday 9:30-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday 9:30-5:30 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. For information call 914/835-0324 or see www.harrisonpl.org.
