On Oct. 4th at 4:00 pm, The Westchester Chamber Music Society is thrilled to open our 2015 season with the return of the exceptional Trio Les Amies. New York Philharmonic principal players Nancy Allen harpist, and Cynthia Phelps violist, join internationally renowned flutist Carol Wincenc to perform a magnificent program including: Two Interludes by Jacques Ibert, J. S. Bach’s Sonata in G minor BWV 1020, Louis Spohr’s Sonata in C minor, the Elegiac Trio for flute, viola and harp by Arnold Bax as well as works by Ravel, Devienne and Debussy.
True to the spirit of chamber music, the concert is held in an intimate venue with exceptional acoustics where the audience has the opportunity to experience the music as it was intended and sit in close proximity to these accomplished musicians.
As with all of our concerts, there will be a wine and cheese reception following the performance where all patrons are welcome to meet and speak with the artists. Seating is open, tickets may be purchased on our website or at the door and students are encouraged to attend free of charge.
