The Westchester Chordsmen Spring Show – Once Upon A Song

Welcome to the Westchester Chordsmen’s Spring Show- Once Upon A Song. We have chosen this theme for the artistic connection between the two crafts. Simply put songs are stories put to music.  Just like a novel or a short story, songs are meant to convey emotions, or an experience, tell a tale whether it be happy, sad, thrilling, or moralistic. The very same sources of inspiration for stories serve as well for the creation of songs. Today you’ll find that we have chosen passages from mostly classic novels, with an exception or two, that reflect the sentiments of the songs, a character, or that set the scene for the song we will sing.
