About the Organization

Westchester Harmony (formerly The Westchester Chordsmen) is a 501(C)3 not-for-profit performing arts singing group. We have been entertaining Westchester and beyond for over 71 years, and are the only Westchester Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (founded in 1938). Our mission is to spread the joy and fun of singing to our community, the country and the world. The Chorus’ musical repertoire extends beyond our barbershop roots to Broadway show-tunes, doo-wop, traditional, gospel and contemporary songs arranged in four-part a cappella harmony for tenor, lead, baritone and bass singers. Over the years, the Chorus and its quartets have become known for harmonious and engaging music, with an uplifting spirit. The Chorus is called on frequently by governmental and charitable organizations, and has done hundreds of public service performances throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Rehearsals occur at 7PM every Monday night in White Plains. The Chorus’ 60 member-singers come from Westchester and surrounding counties in New York, Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island, and range in age from 16 to 97.
Singers interested in becoming involved with a great bunch of people who love to sing 4-part a cappella harmony should come to a rehearsal - no pressure, no need to read music, just come to check us out. Everyone who has said: “Why didn’t I do this earlier in my life!”
Interested singers are welcome every Monday night. If you'd like to check us out, please reach out to us through our website: https://chordsmen.org/contact/ or call 914-298-SING [7464]. We welcome all singers without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, disability or age.
