The Symphony of Westchester All-Romantic Program


Multiple award-winning violinist Tessa Lark will close The Symphony of Westchester’s concert season on Sat., May 5, 8:00 p.m., at Iona College’s Christopher J. Murphy Auditorium.

As part of an All-Romantic program, Lark will perform Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, op. 35 in D Major. The program will also include Gioacchino Rossini’s William Tell Overture and Edward Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro, op.47.

Lark, who has previously appeared with the Symphony of Westchester, has also performed with orchestras in Cincinnati, Louisville, New Haven, Hawaii, Santa Fe, Indianapolis, Cheyenne and Santa Cruz and internationally with the Chinese Opera and Ballet Symphony. Her many festival credits include Marlboro, Yellow Barn, Music in the Vineyards, Steans, Ravinia and Music@Menlo. In addition to her classical repertoire, Lark performs and programs bluegrass and Appalachian music and plays jazz violin.
