Puppeteering pioneer Jim Henson made his feature film debut by taking his famous characters from The Muppet Show and giving them an adventure too big for prime time. In The Muppet Movie, Kermit the Frog decides to pursue his Hollywood Dreams, traveling across the country where he meets characters like Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Gonzo, on his way to showbiz.

After the screening, join us in the Jane Peck Gallery to make your very own puppet and learn how to bring it to life! Participants will work with a teaching artist who will help them make their own sock puppet character and then have fun becoming a puppeteer. Presented in partnership with Arc Stages.
