Wondering what to do Saturdays this spring? Join us for a fantastic series of master class workshops in ballet and modern dance. Open to intermediate and advanced level dancers in grade 7 &and up.
the series starts on April 18 with Nick Nagel’s ballet class and follows on April 26th with Nathalie Jonas who comes to us from 11 years on the faculty of the Barnard Dance Department. On May 2nd take ballet with Matthew Powell, currently on faculty at Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet and Ballet Tech who has performed with Northwest Ballet, and San San Francisco Ballet and is on the guest faculty at Alvin Aiely Dance Theater, Marymount Manhattan Dance Department and more. May 9th brings Andrea Kron, a graduate of the Ailey School, to teach Horton technique. On May 16th Maggie Bradley, who studied intensely with Merce Cunningham and his Company and has taught Cuunningham-based technique in many colleges and schools will be here. The series will close with modern taught by Gierre Godley, a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with many credits including Abraham in Motion and the Matthew Westerby Company and the Artistic Director of Project 44, an all-male dance company
