“SEE ME: A Celebration of LGBTQ Life”
The NRCA Rotunda Gallery presents “SEE ME! A Celebration of LGBTQ Life.” The exhibition celebrates LGBTQ Pride Month and features the aesthetic sensibility of the queer community and their continuing struggle for freedom and equality. This will be a virtual exhibit, available via NRCA’s YouTube channel from June 1st through 30th. Artists working in all media have been invited to submit their work by Mary 18th.
The NRCA Rotunda Gallery is located at New Rochelle City Hall , 515 North Avenue in New Rochelle. Created in 2012, the Rotunda Gallery takes advantage of City Hall’s spacious atrium to create opportunities for a broad range of visual arts to be seen on a regular basis. The Rotunda Gallery exhibits are curated by NRCA’s Rotunda Gallery committee, which determines the themes of the exhibits, issues “Calls for Artists”, hangs the submitted works and hosts receptions. Current committee members include chairperson Linda Tarrant-Reid, Barbara Bock, Cynthia Reid, Billie Tucker and Judith Weber.
The New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) was created by the New Rochelle City Council in 1975 to stimulate and encourage the study and presentation of the performing and fine arts. For more information visit the NRCA website www.newrochellearts.org NRCA’s programs are made possible, in part, by ArtsWestchester with funds from Westchester County Government, the City of New Rochelle, and the support and participation of NRCA’s membership.
