Royal Opera House Live’s The Sleeping Beauty
Enter the fairytale’s enchanted world of princesses, fairy godmothers, and magical spells, with its rich evocations of the baroque opulence of a royal court and the overgrown castle. First choreographed to Tchaikovsky’s great score by Marius Petipa in 1890, The Sleeping Beauty features wonderful ensembles, solos, and of course the concluding dances that celebrate the happy union. Oliver Messell’s original designs were restored and updated for this production by Peter Farmer, which stars Marianela Nuñez and Vadim Muntagirov.
