I’m Not Running is an explosive new play by David Hare, who excels at writing political dramas loosely based on real events (The Absence of War, Gethsemane). Pauline Gibson (Sian Brooke) is a doctor who finds herself pulled into politics. When she crosses paths with her old boyfriend, a stalwart Labour Party loyalist, she’s faced with an agonizing decision. The play ultimately asks if it’s possible to stay true to one’s moral beliefs and still make a difference.
