Meera Agarwal – Instructor Showcase/Rye Arts Center Virtual Exhibit

The Rye Arts Center Instructor Showcase

Meera Agarwal’s paintings created while sheltered in place (during the covid-19 lockdown) are showcased in a virtual exhibit at the Rye Arts Center.

About the Paintings:

Ripple is inspired by the wave or ripple effect of goodness we’re seeing & experiencing in our communities even as the covid19 pandemic has engulfed and crippled us in many ways. In our own Rye community we’ve been touched by the monumental work of Rye moms spearheading mask making, PPE procurement, providing food to hospitals/emergency workers. It’s awe-inspiring and uplifting to see how our village has risen up to support one another.

A New Fiery Dawn is evocative of hope. We’re all experiencing a roller-coaster of emotions enduring the pain & perils of covid19. This painting is a gentle reminder that even after a dark stormy night, there’s always hope of a fiery new dawn — a new, bright beginning to lift us up and look forward.
