Love Letters

This year, Concordia Conservatory’s Hoch Chamber Music Series celebrates two exceptional renowned music partnerships, the Dichters and the Duttons. The highlight of the concert is a new chamber music piece by Matt Van Brink, a duo for viola and violin. The concert also presents, by works by Schubert, Dvorak and Brahms.

Pianists Misha and Cipa Dichter met at The Juilliard School as students and made their first joint appearance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1972, four years after their marriage. Since then, the Dichters have performed in recital and with major orchestras throughout the world and have brought to the concert stage many previously neglected works of the two-piano and piano-four-hand repertoire. Married for 27 years, the Duttons met at the Aspen Music Festival in 1984 and have been performing together ever since.

This event is part of ARTSEE, a festival showcasing new works of art throughout Westchester County in celebration of ArtsWestchester’s 50th anniversary.
