Farewell Herr Schwarz
In 1945, after the war’s end, sister and brother Michla and Feiv’ke Schwarz didn’t meet in £ódz as they had planned. Instead, she migrated to Israel and started a family, and he returned to Germany, changed his name, and began a new life. Their decisions haunt their children and compel their grandchildren, including filmmaker Yael Reuveny, to explore their family history and reconsider their own identities.
Q&A April 29, 7:30: Filmmaker Yael Reuveny with Bruni Burres, Sigal Yehuda and JBFC Founder Steve Apkon.
