2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Immerse yourself in a choreographic trip through historic Bethany Arts Community. Join a cohort of 25 guests guided through the historic building with stops along the way to experience six dances – each in its own location; enjoy Bethany mounted art works along the way! There will be 6 showings: one each hour from 2:00 – 7:00 PM. for groups of 25. The show will end with Spencer Pond’s swing duet to a live jazz quartet, seasonal light refreshments will be served to enjoy with conversation with the artists and an opportunity to view the lovely grounds for those who wish.
The audience will experience works as varied as Martha Graham Dance Company alumna Catarina Rago’s “Labir” that “speaks to how we navigate our interior dead ends and false turns on the unclear path to self-awareness” ( NY Times); Olivia Passarelli and Sopie Sophie Gray-Gaillard’s “Tide” which explores the cyclical ebb and flow of relationships and the complexities of intimacy and commitment; and “Love, Kisses and Such…” a solo by Steffi Nossen Artistic Director Jessica DiMauro Marks revealing the physical experience of emotional neglect through the lens of this unique time in human history; a new work by Gierre Godley; and Pond’s new swing duet.
Hannah Garner, an alumna of Purchase Conservatory of Dance recently named ’25 to Watch’ by Dance Magazine, is currently choreographing a work for the Steffi Nossen Dance Company to be premiered at the event.
Masks are required; all safety precautions will be followed.
6 shows; 2:00 – 7:00 pm on the hour.
