Danny Says

Danny Says is a documentary on the life and times of unsung music legend Danny Fields. Since 1966, Fields has played a pivotal role in the music and culture of the late 20th century: working for The Doors, Lou Reed, Nico, and Judy Collins, as well as managing groundbreaking artists like The Stooges, The MC5, and The Ramones. This immensely entertaining film, the latest from filmmaker Brendan Toller (I Need That Record!), follows Fields from Harvard Law dropout to the Warhol Silver Factory, from Director of Publicity at Elektra Records to “punk pioneer,” and beyond. Danny Says is a story of the marginal turning mainstream, avant garde turning prophetic, as Fields continues to look to the next generation.
