Artist Reception – \”Some Things to Remember\”, a showcase of work by Adina Andrus

Meet the artist and experience her latest collection in person.

Atelier Modern presents “Some Things to Remember” – a showcase of artwork by Adina Andrus.

“Some Things to Remember” presents sculptural forms made of ceramic blended with bioplastic and gold, alongside egg tempera paintings. The pieces take on script-like qualities—organic shapes and marks that flow and cluster into installations resembling sentences or visual patterns. Gold accents catch light against textured ceramic, while the paintings echo similar motifs on flat surfaces. Some pieces stand alone while others gather into larger groups, establishing their own visual grammar that shifts with different angles and lighting.

The works function as keepsakes, preserving memories of places lived and experienced. Each piece acts as a visual record of specific moments and sensory details. By translating these memories—particularly those connected to food and daily rituals—into tangible forms, the artist explores how we preserve our connections to the places we’ve inhabited. The work invites viewers to reflect on the flavors, objects, and sensations that anchor their own sense of home across time and distance.
