An Evening with the Bob Dylan Center
Following last year’s sold-out screening of dynamic performance clips culled from the Bob Dylan Archive, showcasing Dylan on stage and in the studio across multiple decades and musical styles, Bob Dylan Center Director Steven Jenkins returns to the Jacob Burns Film Center with a brand-new collection of rarities. “I contain multitudes,” Dylan professes in the lead track to his 2020 album Rough and Rowdy Ways—quoting Walt Whitman, natch—and in keeping with this plurality of personae, this evening’s assortment of short films reveals the ever-evolving artist in many guises, from earnest folksinger and rock ‘n’ roll rebel to Christmas caroler and crooner of classics.
This film is part of the Sounds of Summer series which is sponsored by The Lucille & Paul Maslin Foundation and Janet Maslin. WFUV is the exclusive media partner.
Join us after the screening in the Take 3 Wine Bar & Café on the third floor to continue the conversation!
