All Shorts Irvington Film Festival (As iFF) Fall 2017 Program: “A Film for Every Palate”

As iFF returns for its third season, screening nine outstanding international short films — followed by an exclusive after-party for all festival ticket-holders and filmmakers.  The Fall 2017 program, “A Film For Every Palate,” presents breathtaking films from countries including Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Syria, and the United States.  Ranging in duration from 1 to 29 minutes, the program — judged and curated by an esteemed jury of film professionals — spans an imaginative and compelling diversity of emotions, cultures, stories, and cinematic styles.  The selected short films were chosen out of more than 250 submissions from filmmakers around the world.

Jury prizes are awarded by the As iFF Advisory Board (comprising established and award-winning film editors, animators, writers, actors, directors, and producers).  Audience members vote for the top winners at the end of the evening.

Each season, nearly 1,000 people attend As iFF.  With each festival, the selection process has grown increasingly competitive, and As iFF is now recognized internationally as a sought-after festival by both acclaimed and up-and-coming filmmakers.  The originality, artistry and quality of filmmaking of the films submitted reflect why the Irvington Town Hall Theater has become a ‘must go to’ venue to view top-of-the-line international short films in the greater metropolitan area.

The Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) is located at 85 Main Street in Irvington; its entrance is on North Ferris Street under the green awning adjacent to the Irvington Police Department. The theater is accessible by Metro-North train (Hudson line), as are numerous restaurants and eateries where patrons can dine before the festival. Free parking is available for theater patrons in the public school lot and on Main Street after 6:00 pm.
